Evolution is an odd theory. It’s full of holes. But still, its effects are quite literally written in stone.
People used to think every single thing existing always did, but nothing, not even time, has always been around. From ape-men to predicted goblin-like human descendant, we will always change. There are many human ancestors, but I have chosen the most important.
Mini-Bigfoots and Handy Man (-Apes)
Meet Lucy (left). She is an almost 2 million year old Australopithecus afarensis. She is basically a tiny bigfoot. Being a bipedal chimp might not seem like much, but Lucy is at the crossroad between being a creature and being tribal (and eventually a sapient). More importantly, at the crossroad between being an ape and being a human.
A. Habilis (left) (Handy Man-Ape) was more proficient in tool-making and finding foodstuffs than it’s completely ape cousin. Tools have been found that are crude but have apparently been worked on well. This marks the beginning the Stone Age.
It’s head was less ape-like, but there were large jaw muscles, which meant it had little intuitive. Speech is thought to develop around this time.
